Brendan Podevin
DIRECTOR
Brendan Podevin leverages over 25 years of invaluable experience in the accounting industry. As a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Brendan's academic accomplishments include Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Economics degrees from the University of Queensland, along with a postgraduate Masters degree in Information Technology from Queensland University of Technology.
With a focus on small and medium enterprises, he specialises in providing expert advice to medical professionals, retailers, trade service providers, construction firms, and property developers. Brendan's extensive expertise encompasses business start-ups, acquisitions, and the implementation of entity structures for the purpose of tax minimisation and asset protection. Notably, he excels in guiding businesses through the mature stage of their lifecycle.
Brendan's approach to client relationships embodies the core values deeply rooted within HW One. Guided by the belief "where numbers breathe," Brendan consistently delivers accurate and insightful financial solutions. Brendan serves as an in-house business adviser to his clients, providing unwavering dedication and commitment to their success.

Cameron is one the founding directors of HW One, having accumulated his professional knowledge and experience, working for highly regarded firms in the CBD and overseas. Across more than three decades of providing expert financial guidance and strategic advice, he has developed a well-earned reputation for creative solutions to complex problems. Among Cameron’s specialities – business improvement, business structuring, start-ups, asset protection, succession planning and tax effectiveness.
In his professional life, he has worked with a wide range of different entities – from small ambitious start-ups, right through to large enterprises and high net wealth groups and individuals. Cameron’s forward-thinking, pragmatic approach ensures clients achieve the best possible financial outcome, all while taking into account their personal circumstances and on occasions, their appetite for risk. Financial goals are one thing, but freedom of financial choice is equally important. That’s the “guts” of what Cameron is all about – a happily married father of three teenager children, Cameron understands that success in the business is about more than “just the numbers”. It’s about clients fulfilling their dreams and achieving their life purpose. As he tells every new team member and arrival at HW One – understand “numbers breathe”.
Cameron is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds Graduate Diploma of Professional Accounting and a Bachelor of Business from Queensland University of Technology.

With an impressive 15 years of experience in Business Services, Taxation, and Superannuation, Janah has honed her skills across diverse industries. Her expertise extends to working directly with Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) clients, where she assists in meeting compliance requirements and achieving their retirement goals. Janah derives great satisfaction from engaging with both clients and staff, as she creates platforms for professional and personal growth.
Kurtis Wheeler

Kurtis Wheeler holds a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) from QUT. As a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, he brings a wealth of expertise to the table. With six years of experience in Business Services and Taxation, Kurtis excels in assisting clients with a wide range of accounting matters, from fundamental concepts to intricate complexities. Ashley Kovacev brings a diverse skill set and expertise to HW One. As a skilled multi-tasker, she excels in managing various responsibilities simultaneously. With excellent phone and organisational skills, Ashley ensures smooth communication and efficient workflow within the office. Her proficiency in office administration and general administration allows her to handle tasks seamlessly. Additionally, she provides exceptional executive support, excelling in document preparation and diary management. Albert Perillo

Albert Perillo holds a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) degree from QUT and is a valued member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand. With six years of expertise in Business Services & Taxation and an additional decade of experience in Business and Accounts Management, Albert demonstrates a diverse skill set. He takes great pleasure in assisting and advising clients on business growth and development, working to help them achieve their short and long-term goals, both personally and professionally.
